How to Connect Your Bank Account to Receive Tutoring Payment on Kapdec

Getting Started

Before you begin, make sure:

  • You are logged in as a Tutor for Tutoring Payments.
  • You have your bank details and identification documents ready

Step 1: Log in to Your Account

  1. Go to Kapdec.com
  2. Click Login
  3. Enter your credentials

Step 2: Go to Your Account Settings

  1. Click your Profile Icon (top right corner)
  2. Select Account
  3. Scroll down to find the “Setup Account” section

Step 3: Click “Setup Account”

  1. Click the Stripe Connect / Setup button
  2. You will be securely redirected to Stripe

(Stripe handles all payment and banking information securely.)


Step 4: Complete Stripe Setup

You have two options:

Option A: Create a New Stripe Account

  • Enter your email
  • Create a password
  • Fill in required details:
    • Legal name
    • Date of birth
    • Address
    • Bank account details
    • Tax information

Option B: Log in to an Existing Stripe Account

  • Use your existing credentials
  • Authorize Kapdec to connect with your Stripe account

Step 5: Complete Identity Verification

To ensure security and compliance, Stripe may require you to:

  • Upload identification documents
  • Verify your bank account
  • Confirm tax details

This is a standard and required step.


Step 6: Confirmation

Once completed:

  • You will be redirected back to Kapdec
  • Your “Setup Account” section will show that Stripe is connected

How Payouts Work

  1. Students book and pay for tutoring sessions
  2. Payments are securely processed via Stripe and held in a secure escrow system
  3. After you successfully complete your session:
    • Your earnings are released
    • Funds are transferred directly to your connected bank account

This system ensures:

  • Tutors always get paid
  • Students receive confirmed services
  • Secure and fraud-free transactions

Troubleshooting

1. “Setup Account” section not visible

  • Ensure you are logged in as a Tutor
  • Go to Profile Icon → Account
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page

2. Stripe page does not load

  • Disable ad blockers
  • Try a different browser
  • Clear cache and cookies

3. Stripe shows “Account Restricted”

  • Log in to your Stripe dashboard directly
  • Upload any required verification documents

4. Setup shows incomplete

  • Refresh the page
  • Log out and log back in
  • Wait a few minutes for synchronization

Q: Do I need Stripe to teach on Kapdec?
Yes. Stripe is required to receive payments.

Q: Does Kapdec store my bank details?
No. All financial information is securely handled by Stripe.

Q: Can I change my bank account later?
Yes. You can update your details directly within your Stripe account.
