Getting Started
- Log in to your Kapdec account
- Navigate to the Tutor Dashboard
- Click on the “Create Profile” button
- On the introduction screen, click “Continue”

Step 1: Choose Your Teaching Language(s)
Select the language or languages you will use while teaching.
You can choose multiple languages based on your comfort and expertise.
Step 2: Add Your Qualifications
- Enter your academic degrees in the Qualifications section
- Use the full and accurate name of each degree
- Click the “+” icon to add multiple qualifications
This step helps establish your academic credibility.
Step 3: Write Your Introduction
This is one of the most important sections of your profile and includes two parts:
Profile Headline
Create a short, impactful statement that represents your teaching identity.
Example: “Statistics Guru”
Profile Description
Write a clear and engaging introduction (within 100 words).
- Be honest and authentic
- Highlight your experience and strengths
- Focus on how you help students succeed
Example Description:
I am passionate about making numbers make sense! With years of experience teaching high school and college-level statistics, I specialize in simplifying complex concepts like probability, regression, and hypothesis testing. Whether you’re prepping for AP Stats, SAT Math, or college exams, I tailor lessons to your pace and goals. Let’s turn stats into your strength!
Step 4: Upload Your Profile Picture
- Add a clear, professional photo of yourself
- Profiles with real photos attract more students
- Avoid skipping this step, as it builds trust and credibility
Step 5: Highlight Your Achievements
Include any relevant accomplishments such as:
- Awards
- Certifications
- Professional memberships
- Teaching recognitions
This strengthens your profile and increases student confidence in your expertise.
Final Step
Once you’ve completed all sections:
- Review your profile for accuracy and completeness
- Return to your dashboard
- Click “Create a Class” to start offering your courses
