How do I create a Class or a Course in Kapdec Portal?

Once you have created your account, log-in and then navigate to your dashboard. You’ll find options to create a new classes or new session.

In this video, I’ll guide you through creating a class on Kapdec and important points to consider at various steps.

Before we create a class, make sure your Kapdec profile is complete. A completed tutor profile is a mandatory step before creating a class.

If your profile is already done, move on to the next step:   that is “Create a Class.”

In the screen that appears next, select the country that matches the academic standards of your course (Such as., US Common Core for US-based courses).

Keep in mind, this selection isn’t based on where you live but on the country whose academic standards your course follows.

In other words – the course you are offering – is it meant for the curriculum in the US or for India? Accordingly, you should select the Country at this step.

Next, choose the grade level and relevant subject for your course.

Now it is time to describe what you wish to teach!

Pick a course name that’s unique, memorable, and meaningful.

And then, write a brief description of what students will learn. You can define what is unique about the course and include an overview of the syllabus and how it benefits them, keeping it under 500 characters. Or approximately less than a 100 words.

We will use a course description to enter here, that I have created previously.

Now it is time to define how you’ll deliver the course.

  • Add a Meeting Link

                      Choose your preferred video platform (such as, Zoom, or Google Meet). This is required so that you can perform the live tutoring!

  • Set Your Availability

                      Add the days and times you’re available to teach. You can set multiple time slots for flexibility.

 * Pricing – This is important for you to start earning money.

 Tell your students what you wish to charge them for your offering!

Choose your pricing based on the total teaching hours. For example, you could offer rates like $100 for 5 hours, $350 for 20 hours, or $525 for 40 hours.

You can put any price you wish here. However, to attract students, lower price is not always the best price. So plan carefully.

Last but not the least,

Record a 3-5 minute introduction or a demo video to showcase your teaching style. Upload it to YouTube and add the link here. A demo video can significantly enhance and boost your profile.

Now that all of the necessary elements are done,

So we will go ahead and click on the PUBLISH class button.

It is only when you publish a class, it becomes visible to students worldwide.

however, If you wish to make any changes, you must unpublish, make the required changes, and then publish again.

 That is it! You have a new class offering, ready for your students to explore and join.
